Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist

Born and raised in Libby, Montana, Brad went on to earn his BS in Geology, and further focused on graduate work in accounting and finance at the University of Montana. He achieved the CPA designation in 1987, and began his career with the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms – KPMG in Billings, and Coopers and Lybrand in Spokane, Washington.
Brad honed his expertise to provide tax planning, preparation and accounting services to businesses and their owners, as well as to individuals. He relocated to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1991 and opened his own firm. In 1995, he merged his private practice with fellow local CPA Paula (Freeman Parsons) Hall, creating Williams & Parsons, PA, CPAs. In addition to being a CPA, Brad holds the designation of Personal Financial Planning Specialist. Brad is also an accredited Peer Reviewer, providing reviews to other CPA firms around the western US to help them maintain their firms’ system of quality control.

Brett Sweezy was born and raised in the North East, hailing from New Hampshire and Vermont. He graduated the top of his class from New England College, earning a Bachelor Degree in Accounting with a Minor in Economics. Brett is a CPA and from 1992-1999, he owned and managed his own Sandpoint-based accounting firm (Brett Sweezy, CPA, PA), providing accounting and tax services to more than 300 clients.

Following the sale of his successful business, Brett transitioned his career to corporate finance. He has an extensive resume of serving as the CFO and/or President of several national and international companies, and can claim 25+ years of experience in all financial aspects of both public and private companies, as well as issues important for individuals.

Paula Hall passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 following a bout with her recurring cancer. She was an integral part of our firm. We will miss her commitment to her clients and our profession.

Paula (Freeman Parsons) Hall grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and attended the University of Tennessee and California State University, Chico, graduating with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting. She spent 20 years in Paradise, California working as a CPA and managing partner in a local firm. Paula and her family made the trek north in 1993, and in 1995, she merged her private Sandpoint practice with Brad Williams.

Paula had been involved in the local community almost since the day she arrived, as a 21-year active member and past President of the Rotary Club of Sandpoint, past President and Board member of the Festival at Sandpoint for 20 years, and served as a Board member and past President of the historic Panida Theater. Paula was also honored as a distinguished Sandpoint Woman of Wisdom.

When not working, Paula and her husband Dann enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, their precious Corgi, and skiing, hiking, boating, and traveling.

Our colleague and dear friend Bob Boyle passed away July 20, 2018. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know and work with him.

Bob was a business graduate of San Diego State University and began his career with the national accounting firm KPMG. He came to Idaho in 1995 following 15 years as a partner in a northern California practice. Bob’s strong suits included Federal and State tax issues, Estate and Trust accounting and reporting, and Small Business advisory services.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed working with vehicles and building things with his hands. He was an active Finance Committee and Board member of the Festival at Sandpoint, his favorite local annual event.

Jacob Styer was born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but relocated to Moscow, Idaho as a teenager with his family. After high school he attended the University of Idaho then transferred to Idaho State University to complete two Bachelor degrees, one in Accounting and the other in Finance. CPA review classes came next – he earned his Certificate in Public Accounting in 2003.

In 2004, Jacob made the move to Sandpoint and spent 10 years in the Coldwater Creek corporate tax department specializing in sales, use and property taxes. He joined the team at Williams & Parsons CPAs in 2014, focusing on tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses, audits and financial planning. In 2016, Jacob received the AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) accreditation.

Jacob shares his professional talents and expertise by volunteering as a Board member and/or Treasurer for several Sandpoint-area non-profits; Friends of the Scotchman Peaks Wilderness, the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, and the Pend Oreille Pedalers.

Jacob and his wife Lindsey are passionate about the outdoors, especially biking and hiking. He has completed seven Ironman Distance Triathlons, and as part of a four-person team, he has twice completed the grueling Race Across America (RAAM) bike race.

Jesse Raynor began his career in public accounting with a regional office that joined the “Top 10” U.S. firm CliftonLarsonAllen. He earned his Master of Accountancy Degree with an emphasis in Taxation.  Jesse specializes in tax planning, state and federal tax compliance, and small business consulting. He has 18 years of industry experience Home building and specialty trade construction, real estate development, sales, manufacturing, and service.

Jesse lived on the Pend Oreille River as a child, and moved back to Northern Idaho in 2017 after several years as the managing partner of a practice in Utah, where he personally worked with several hundred friends and clients. Jesse is enjoying time with family, friends, and the beautiful outdoors of Northern Idaho. He is excited to be home and looks forward to engaging with the community in the coming years.

JACKIE WINDJU, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Quickbooks Pro Advisor

Jackie Windju is the third generation of her family to make this lake-and-mountain town home. After graduating from Sandpoint High (go Bulldogs!), she earned her BA in French and Business from the University of Idaho, and continued on to get her Masters in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management.

Jackie started her career as an accounting supervisor with Sullivan Payne in Seattle, Washington, then moved on to become a Risk Manager for the Seattle Times. She returned to Sandpoint in the early 1990s to start her family and to grow in her chosen field.

Jackie has worked for a local CPA firm since 1992, and has been with Williams & Parsons since 1998. She is a full service bookkeeper, payroll specialist and a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She has taught QuickBooks classes through North Idaho College’s Workforce Development Center, and is always available to answer QuickBooks questions for her clients.

When she is not working, she spends time with her family and friends and enjoys hiking, skiing, riding her cruiser-style bike, and traveling the world.
